Niwaki trees are a unique production of landscape art
Today, Niwaki trees are called "garden bonsai". However, the term "bonsai" ("bon" - dish, "sai" - grown) translates as "a plant grown on a dish." In turn, the term "Niwaki" (庭 "field" - garden and 木 "ki" - tree) refers to a plant that is unlimited in height and grows in an open space, and not in a special container. At the same time, its crown is visually similar to a classic bonsai, which gives it a special charm and a recognizable Japanese style.

A piece of Japan on its own site
A garden in Japan is not just a home territory, but a part of ancient culture, philosophy and religion. Caring for a garden is a way of self-discovery and achieving spiritual balance. The Japanese pay special attention to the appearance and arrangement of plants in the garden. Niwaki is an integral attribute of a Japanese garden.
Advantages of Niwaki
-
Power and majesty
The plant receives a maximum of moisture and nutrients, thanks to which it can reach a height of 5, 10 and even 20 meters. Every year, the crown will become more sprawling and lush. Growth is much faster than a bonsai tree with a limited root system. -
Simplified care
Niwaki will not have to be transplanted, fertilized and watered often. A plant in the ground will be able to take care of itself. All you have to do is watch the beautiful tree and enjoy it! -
Resistance to diseases and pests
In open soil, the root system of the plant is less likely to rot. Thanks to this Nivaka trees are less susceptible to diseases that slow down growth and spoil aesthetics.
-
Harmonious combination with other plants
Noble conifers emphasize the grace, fragility and sophistication of deciduous plants, so they look great next to any low-growing crops. -
Therapeutic effect
Conifers release essential oils into the atmosphere, which have a positive effect on well-being and strengthen health, filling the garden with stunning aromas and instantly lifting the mood. -
Durability and wear resistance
The Niwaki tree will live for 50 or more years, while not losing its original shape and attractiveness. Therefore, by planting Niwaki on your plot, you are making a contribution to the future!
-
Good appearance at any time of the year
Niwaki trees are created mainly from evergreen plants that do not change the color of the crown in autumn. Thanks to this, they delight with juicy, rich greens all year round, regardless of the weather. -
Many variations of the crown
Theca is a classic form with one vertical barrel. Sap-style trees are formed with a bifurcated trunk as close to the ground as possible. Kotobuki (a shape reminiscent of the hieroglyph for "happiness"), syak (slanted shape), Moegi (a winding tree), Kengai (a drooping shape), Monkaburi (a straight tree with overhanging branches) - a variety of options for every taste.
